The Enneagram is a sacred map that helps identify your unconscious and subconscious motivations. Circling around nine fundamental types of human nature, your Enneagram type reveals your path of transformation as well as your path of disintegration.
While the Enneagram reveals your personality, it is different from other personality profiles in that it links to your childhood wound, illuminating your path of healing and wholeness.
The Enneagram is a powerful resource for the contemplative path, for as it dismantles your illusions about the self, it simultaneously reveals your True Self or Essence, supporting you to offer the best of yourself to a world in a need.
Following are a few leading accredited and/or certified enneagram specialists who are available by appointment. Each has their own training and specializations, and we would love to connect you with the enneagram expert who can best support you on your spiritual journey.

At some point in our lives we all experience fearful thoughts and anxiety, emotions of shame, and/or aggressive behaviors fueled by rage. How do we navigate through these trying times with compassion and non-judgement for ourselves as well as others? Many have used the enneagram in order to gain insight into patterns that may be running undetected in our lives. When we can observe ourselves and become grounded in the moment, then we can begin to loosen the hold that these patterns seem to have on us and move towards expression of the higher self.
Dr. Avon uses the enneagram as a spiritual map for transformational work and alignment with Divine will. She works with others by guiding them into accessing their embodied intelligence. This work calls upon the cultivation of presence using meditation, body scanning, and the breath. During the course of each session, narrative discussions will be used along with the enneagram in order to:
- Observe ourselves when we get triggered around our patterns
- Use body scans to detect body sensations that may come up with triggers
- Use the breath and body for cultivating presence
- Use meditation for stillness
- Cultivate compassion and non-judgement
- Notice how we may identify with patterns in our lives
- Gain alignment with Divine will through the Centers of the Mind, Heart, and Body
- Experience how we are expressions of the Divine
As an enneagram specialist, Dr. Avon Manney holds an Osteopathic medical degree and a Master’s degree in Marriage, Family, and Child counseling. Following a life changing event, she was introduced to the enneagram and began a lifelong quest for various forms of spiritual healing and mystical truths. Since then she has studied under foremost spiritual teachers such as Dr. Roxanne Howe-Murphy, Fr. Richard Rohr, and Russ Hudson. She continues to work with the enneagram personally and professionally for healing and transformation. She enjoys playing violin, gardening, spending time in nature, and being with her husband and feathered children, Pipsqueak and Armand.

A former Stanford Law attorney with a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy, Rev. Nhien left her lucrative San Francisco legal career in 2012 to pursue a call to ministry. An interspiritual Unity minister currently based in Kansas City, Nhien believes in the innate wholeness, perfection, and divinity of all people–irrespective of one’s belief or religion, background or age, race or nationality, gender identification or sexual orientation.
Nhien is an Accredited Professional with the International Enneagram Association. Working intimately with individuals, couples, and small groups, Nhien has seen the Enneagram system of sacred psychology catalyze and nurture personal growth and spiritual awakening in the lives of countless people and communities at a degree unparalleled to that of any other spiritual tool or system that she has encountered.
A Vietnamese immigrant who did not feel that she fit in with her own family, Nhien’s passion for teaching the Enneagram comes from her personal experience with transforming her limiting beliefs around her own sense of defectiveness, loneliness and separation, helping her to experience a greater sense of wholeness, expansiveness, and unity with all of life.
With a focus on contemplative practices, Nhien works collaboratively with you to identify the particular spiritual disciplines that work best for your Enneagram type. She approaches all of her coaching, teaching, and consulting as one who walks with rather than stands above you. A trained mediator, Nhien marries intuition with her formal training in active listening and compassionate communication skills. As she listens, she helps you to identify and speak your soul’s truth and then supports you in living it–one day (and sometimes one conscious breath) at a time!
More than for spot or “crisis” treatment, she focuses on applying Enneagram knowledge to cultivate a transformative way of life—one that is increasingly marked by inner peace, joy, meaning, purpose, and contentment.
