SUMMARY:Grounding Retreat in Schuyler\, Nebraska
DESCRIPTION:Grounding retreats are for people who are new to contemplative spirituality. \nDrawing from the Christian contemplative tradition\, retreatants explore history\, methodology and practice\, have opportunity to debrief experience of contemplative prayer\, and discover implications for daily life and faith. \nGrounding retreats give participants the opportunity to detach and rest from hectic and fragmented lives to engage in small doses of solitude\, silence and stillness\, within a supportive community. \nRetreatants leave Grounding retreats more centered and grounded in their identity\, with a deeper understanding for how to integrate their inner life of contemplation with their outer life of activity. \nRetreatants taste the possibility of living from a place of more wholeness\, peace and compassion. \nMore information and registration is found here.  \n  \nArrival and Departure Information \nThe retreat begins Friday with dinner at 6:15pm followed by an opening session. The retreat ends Sunday after lunch. Lunch is served at 12:15pm. \nThe Benedictine Retreat Center in Schuyler\, NE is about an hour and a half drive from Omaha. If you are flying in/out of Omaha\, you’ll need to schedule your arrival by 3:00pm on Friday and departure for after 3:00pm on Sunday. Retreatants are invited to enjoy a reception at Chris and Phileena Heuertz home Sunday afternoon before you return to your home. \nMany retreatants coming in from out of town rent a car. A couple weeks out\, we will be in touch regarding transportation options for those who may need a ride. DESCRIPTION:Grounding retreats are for people who are new to contemplative spirituality. \nDrawing from the Christian contemplative tradition\, retreatants explore history\, methodology and practice\, have opportunity to debrief experience of contemplative prayer\, and discover implications for daily life and faith. \nGrounding retreats give participants the opportunity to detach and rest from hectic and fragmented lives to engage in small doses of solitude\, silence and stillness\, within a supportive community. \nRetreatants leave Grounding retreats more centered and grounded in their identity\, with a deeper understanding for how to integrate their inner life of contemplation with their outer life of activity. \nRetreatants taste the possibility of living from a place of more wholeness\, peace and compassion. \nRegister Here \nArrival and Departure Information \nThe retreat begins Friday with dinner at 6:15pm followed by an opening session. The retreat ends Sunday after lunch. Lunch is served at 12:15pm. \nThe Benedictine Retreat Center in Schuyler\, NE is about an hour and a half drive from Omaha. If you are flying in/out of Omaha\, you’ll need to schedule your arrival by 3:00pm on Friday and departure for after 3:00pm on Sunday. Retreatants are invited to enjoy a reception at Chris and Phileena Heuertz home Sunday afternoon before you return to your home. \nMany retreatants coming in from out of town rent a car. A couple weeks out\, we will be in touch regarding transportation options for those who may need a ride.
