Phileena Heuertz will be teaching at the Summer Institute on the topic, “Being and Doing: Spirituality of Contemplative Activism.”

The five-day Summer Institute for Reconciliation is an intensive week to renew and refresh Christian leaders. Joint sessions for worship open and close each day. Daily plenary sessions on overaching themes of reconciliation, and break out seminars to engage deeply in a smaller group around a particular practice area/ topic. Our focus on reconciliation is grounded in a distinctively Christian vision and a framework that is richly practical, contextual, and theological. Rooted in Duke Divinity School’s conviction that reconciliation is at the heart of the gospel, the Summer Institute for Reconciliation draws on the strengths of a faculty of world-class scholars and practitioners.
