Labor Day Labor Trafficking Survivor Event in Omaha, Nebraska

September 6, 2016 @ 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm

Join Chris Heuertz and meet our friend Nourma from Indonesia, a labor trafficking survivor, as they raise awareness about the fastest growing criminal enterprise that affects all of us. Learn how you can respond to help end the trade in human beings.

Shortly after her father’s death, Nourma was illegally labor-trafficked to New York by a diplomat.  Forced to work 14-20 hour days for six different families, Nourma suffered for four years before she finally mustered up the courage to flee for her freedom.  Come hear her share her story and learn about the reality of human trafficking in our modern world.

Join us Tuesday, September 6th for this free public event, hosted by Creighton University’s Cortina Community, Schlegel Center for Service and Justice, and Campus Ministry.

Featuring Indonesian labor trafficking survivor and social justice activist, Chris Heuertz.
